My Story

From the trade office to the boardroom, and back again

My first role in the trades was running the office of a commercial and residential HVAC and electrical business. We had an accounting package and not much else. I learned very quickly what it costs a business when everything lives in people's heads, on whiteboards and in the boss's phone.

Later, working for a business that used a field service platform, I taught myself the system, trained the team and sent the software company a list of improvements within my first month. The response was simple: you should be an implementation consultant. So I asked the CEO for a part-time job. Three days a week became full time almost straight away.

That became fourteen years inside the software industry: implementing systems, training trainers, leading implementation and customer success teams, and building award-winning learning programs. Within two years I was on the ground in the UK as one of the first implementation consultants when the business expanded there.

I'm genuinely grateful for every customer, every culture and every team. That experience is what shaped The Viking Code™, a framework I didn't so much invent as discover, after twenty years of watching what separates the trade businesses that thrive from the ones that struggle.

With Hungarian roots and a Queensland heart, I now work with trade businesses around the world, mostly online, helping them build something worth leaving behind.
